A RESOLUTION COMMENDING REPRESENTATIVE ROBERT VINCE FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

WHEREAS, Representative Robert Vince has served the citizens of House District 99, which includes Marion and Walthall Counties, for 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Representative Vince, a resident of Sandy Hook, Mississippi, was born on December 9, 1930; and

WHEREAS, since his inaugural legislative term in 1980, Representative Vince has provided his constituents and the citizens of the State of Mississippi with extraordinary leadership and a strong commitment to excellence; and

WHEREAS, Representative Vince's leadership abilities and high moral character was recognized when he was appointed Chairman of the Ethics Committee in 1996; and

WHEREAS, Representative Vince currently serves the House as a member of the Appropriations, Education, Military Affairs, Transportation, Congressional Redistricting and Legislative Reapportionment Committees; and

WHEREAS, Representative Vince has been lovingly supported in all his endeavors by his beautiful wife, Mary; their children, Kim and Melody; and four grandchildren, Brandi, Lisa, Kristin and Bo; and

WHEREAS, Representative Vince's congenial nature, constructive attitude and forthright manner have had a positive influence on all those who have had the pleasure of working with this highly respected member of the House:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and express our deepest appreciation to Representative Robert Vince for his many outstanding contributions to the legislative process and the people of the State of Mississippi and extend our heartiest wishes for success in all his future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Representative Vince and to members of the Capitol Press Corps.
